What tf is OPAKE?

Hello kittens, we a female-fronted modern melodic metal band out of Houston TX. This is the Mizz here and I'd love to tell you a little about us so we can get acquainted.

Mr. Sicks is a -string guitar player with an eclectic and versatile style, mixing our music and being the glue that pulled us all together.

Judson is our talented 6-string guitar player who also teaches guitar lessons at his studio Black Hat Music.

Danny the Debt Collector is our emotional support bass player. You'll never catch him not wearing black.

Dead Alex is our percussionist, also known as our shirtless drummer. He enjoys long walks at the beach and loves to enjoy fresh air out of Danny's only fan (inside joke y'll).

Me, I am Mizz Weirdwide, a former pageant model who was denied a crown due to being too weird (their words, not mine), I took it as a compliment and turned into into my alter ego. I am the vocalist, the songwriter, and the pain in the ass "sis" to the rest of these dudes.

We come together with a heavy fusion of chugs, screams, growls, thumps, whomps, and bumps, to make a space in the music industry that is untouched. No two songs sound alike and we are proud of that. We like being a little wild, raspy, squirrely, unparalleled (apparently) in the cohesive dynamic that we have formed amongst ourselves- and it shows!

Be prepared to be a little surprised when you see us on stage. We like to engage the audience and you just never know what I am going to do :)
